DentalXChange is proud to announce that it has achieved full accreditation for the fourth consecutive time with the Healthcare Network Accreditation Program (HNAP) from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC).
EHNAC’s HNAP accreditation runs in two-year increments and recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions. The accreditation ensures compliance with industry-established standards and HIPAA regulations. DentalXChange has been recognized by EHNAC’s HNAP since 2007.
Through the consultative review process, EHNAC evaluated DentalXChange in areas of privacy measures, systems availability and security infrastructure. In addition, EHNAC reviewed the organization’s process of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that the organization meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards. Through completion of the rigorous accreditation process, DentalXChange demonstrates to its constituents, adherence to strict standards and participation in the comprehensive, objective evaluation of its business.
“At a time of heightened regulatory concerns, it is responsible healthcare organizations such as DentalXChange that we applaud for taking the extra steps to ensure trust with all their stakeholders and customers that they’re adhering to the latest standards in privacy, security and confidentiality,” says Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. “In order to earn EHNAC HNAP accreditation, organizations are required to demonstrate excellence and a commitment to ensuring the security and privacy of health data processing and transactions for their customers.”
DentalXChange has been supporting dental providers for more than two decades through its web-based EDI solutions, designed to streamline the connection between providers, payers and patients.
“As a company, we are thoroughly committed to maintaining the strictest security and privacy standards. By upholding these high standards, we continue to ensure the utmost safety for our clients in their EDI transactions,” said Scott Wellwood, President of DentalXChange. “ We are proud of our EHNAC HNAP accreditation as it shows our continuing efforts to meet and exceed HIPAA regulations.”
