DentalXChange Announces New Partnership with NCDR, LLC

DentalXChange is proud to announce a new partnership with NCDR, LLC (NCDR), a dental services organization serving Kool Smiles and Resolution Dental nationally.Kool_smiles_logo

Through this partnership, DentalXChange is now supporting dental EDI services from claim submissions and real-time transactions, to the delivery of ERA’s electronically.

“By moving all of its EDI services to DentalXChange, NCDR has been able to improve its processes and reduce its operational costs, reaching an overall higher level of processing success,” explained Le Ann Eyres-Morris, Director of Channel Partners for DentalXChange.

After an analysis of their EDI and business processes, NCDR chose to migrate from a direct-connect model and move their claim and ERA transactions to DentalXChange, according to Eyres-Morris.

This change is indicative of a new direction in the industry, according to Scott Wellwood, President of DentalXChange.

“The industry is changing, and many companies are looking for strategic ways to reduce operational costs while continuing to provide exceptional service,” Wellwood noted.  “We are pleased that we have the opportunity to assist NCDR in improving its EDI delivery, and we anticipate that this partnership will continue for many years with great success.”

Damon Dunsmore, Manager of EDI and Integrations for NCDR, led the implementation, and noted “NCDR conducted an extensive selection process in order to identify the right partner, and DentalXChange emerged as the clear choice.  We implemented DentalXChange’s services in April and today, we couldn’t be happier with that decision,” Dunsmore explained.  “I have been working in EDI for over 10 years, and this has been the easiest implementation I’ve experienced.”

Dunsmore noted that the DentalXChange Account Management team was extremely efficient in driving the implementation which brought comfort in moving the remaining volume this July supporting a complete implementation in less than 120 days.

“The whole organization really seems to strive to ensure the customer is happy,” he said.  “I truly feel that we are business partners in the most literal sense of the word.”

According to Dunsmore, DentalXChange is a natural partner for NCDR, as the two companies’ visions are well-aligned.

We Left Our Hearts At CDA San Francisco!

The CDA season is finally over and I can unequivocally say…

We had a blast!

We saw old friends, made new ones, met some colorful characters and introduced Snapper to the masses! And of course, presented people to the best EDI solutions in the dental industry!

We talked with Elizabeth Jones, Director of Sales and Retention about her experience at CDA San Fran.

CDA San Francisco was excellent,” said Jones “I couldn’t count how many times I heard, ‘Oh DentalXChange, yes we use you.’ or ‘DentalXChange! We have claims and patient statements what else do you have?’ I feel that we have made a big impact in California and for sure in the Industry.”

Snapper was a huge hit. People came from all over the Moscone Convention Center to get one. “They thought he was the cutest thing ever.  This one dental assistant said she’s going to use him as an example for children to ‘open wide just like Snapper’ would,” said Jones about Snapper.

Of course the best part of each CDA is continuing our relationships with our clients. “My favorite part of all conventions is visiting our partners and vendors. These are the people who help you grow,” Jones went on to say. “Our partnerships are priceless.”

DentalXChange Helps Shape the Future of Dental EDI at NDEDIC Summit

Huntington beach is a great place to hang 10, build a sand castle and get a great tan. They don’t call it Surf City for nothing! But this year it was the perfect place to catch a wave of a different sort. The EDI wave of change!

 The National Dental EDI Council (NDEDIC) is the only organization to unite insurance groups, clearinghouses and dental practices in promoting the value and increasing the utilization of electronic commerce within the dental industry. NDEDIC’s EDI Summit provides a conference for these stakeholders to meet and advance the value and utilization of electronic connectivity in the dental community.

 This year, NDEDIC hosted its 2013 EDI Summit over the week of April 29th thru May 2nd  in Huntington Beach, CA. The conference featured a wide range of events and seminars  and brought together Payers, Practitioners and Clearinghouses from all over the country, dedicated to furthering the advancement of Electronic Data Interchange in the dental industry.

Lizzy Jones DentalXChange employees moderated many of these seminars, like, Bill Dachelet, Operation Manager and past Benjamin D. Ward Award recipient, who hosted the EDI Basics Workshop: Talk HIPAA to Me. Tom Mort, a Benjamin D. Ward Award recipient and Director of Product Integration for DentalXChange, help moderate two events: 835 Remittance Advice 101 and 835 Driven to New Directions by UIF. And not to be out done, Lizzy Jones, Director of Sales and Retention, helped present the Town Hall Meeting: Sharing Best Practices for Marketing EDI Usage.

  The SumIMG_1058mit was not all work though. People who attended also got treated to a day at theIMG_1159 Aquarium of the Pacific, in Long Beach, CA, or a day of golf at Mile Square Golf Course. Le Ann Eyres-Morris, Director of Channel Partners for DentalXChange, help host a meet and greet at the Longboard Restaurant and Pub. It all culminated with a fantastic beach party featuring live music and bonfire with a build your own s’mores bar!

DentalXChange president and last year’s Chairman of the Council, Scott Wellwood, presided over the final event of the week, the Awards luncheon and State of NDEDIC Report.  All the events at NDEDIC’s EDI Summit 2013 were lively, educational and ended with great give and takes from the audience that will help shape the future of EDI in the dental industry.

Providers can now check Guardian claims status online through DentalXChange

Dentists can now easily check the status of their Guardian claims online through DentalXChange. This can eliminate the need for time consuming phone calls to check on the status – making the process easier and faster for dental offices.

DentalXChange Names Bill Dachelet as Operations Manager

DentalXChange  is proud to announce a key addition to its executive leadership team with the naming of Bill Dachelet as Operations Manager. Dachelet will head up the day-to-day activities of the organization’s Sales, Support, Client Retention and VIP Support Departments through interaction with the respective department managers.

“Our goal at DentalXChange is to provide high-quality, affordable, EDI products along with superior customer service to help our clients run an efficient, profitable dental practice,” said Scott Wellwood, President of DentalXChange. “A key component of our success is attracting talented, experienced team members such as Bill to help achieve this goal.”

Dachelet comes to DentalXChange from National Electronic Attachment, Inc. (NEA) where as Vice President of Technical Operations, he headed up Project Management, Software Design, Payer and Vendor Operations as well as a myriad of other responsibilities. He was fundamentally involved with the transition of NEA’s dental products to the similarly related medical field and helped form Medical Electronic Attachment.  Prior to that, Dachelet was Manager of Support for NEA and helped design and develop the company’s software, created a customer-centric support team and helped shape policies and procedures.

“With Bill Dachelet’s extensive background in the dental EDI industry, we feel his addition will add to our clients’ overall experience and add to the ongoing success of DentalXChange,” Wellwood went on to say. “We are very excited to have him onboard.”
