We Are #StrongerTogether

As a partner in the continued success of our clients and an advocate for the dental industry as a whole, DentalXChange is committed to helping dental practices get back to work safely. Unfortunately, many offices are short in supplies such as respirator masks, gloves, shields and more. Such items are required for practices to reopen and get back to treating patients. To help with the high demand for safety supplies, we are offering a promotion while supplies last.

Add a new paid service and receive ten KN95 masks.

We will also donate ten KN95 masks to one of our non-profit partners, in need of supplies and support

Your purchase helps us to donate masks to our partnered charities that are in desperate need of safety supplies.

Soon, dentists will be heading back to seeing patients in their offices. We believe respirator masks, which are in high demand and are difficult to find, will be an important part of keeping safe while treating patients. This also means, that more than ever, non-profit organizations that depend on support of the community will be needing safety supplies, which will not be easy to find.

Through our 501 C 3 charity, the EHG Fund, we have partnered with various charitable organizations that share our vision for a better world and are in desperate need of safety supplies. The KN95 masks donated through this promotion will go to help everything from dental treatment centers to food banks, to helping schools and teachers in impoverished areas of the world.

Giving Back For The Holidays

Here at DentalXChange the holidays are about giving back to our community and to those who are in need. We started the EHG Fund so we could have an outlet for these charitable contributions.

This year has been trying for many people across the country, especially in the community of Ferguson, MO. A DentalXChange team member hails from the Ferguson area and still has many friends and family living there. The stories we were told about hardships the community was facing inspired everyone to help out.

Ferguson DonationsThrough donations made by DentalXChange employees, friends and family, the EHG Fund was able to provide over $1900 worth of groceries! We also filled 30 Stockings of Hope for both children and adults to enjoy this Christmas. We hope these gifts ease some of the burdens facing the people of Ferguson.

Team members have also thrown in-office fundraisers, like a craft sale, a fix your own chili bowl lunch and a coffee and cake-pop sale. All these efforts have raised over $350 for the EHG Fund and will be donated to charities around DentalXChange headquarters,Cake Pops located in Orange County, CA.

We are very proud of the money we raised and hope it will bring some needed smiles this holiday season.

Happy Holidays from all of us at DentalXChange!

The Ice Bucket Challenge comes to DentalXChange!

It was bound to happen. The viral sensation known as the Ice Bucket Challenge hit us at DXC and we wanted to get involved.ALS Ice Bucket Thank You

Scott started us off with a fantastic (i.e. hilarious) video and nominated Kavian and Le Ann. They all followed suit, recording highly entertaining videos (Le Ann’s is our favorite of the bunch). We also have videos from employees posted on our facebook wall.

Watch Scott’s video here

What is the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge?

The challenge involves people getting doused with buckets of ice water on video, posting that video to social media using the hash tag: #IceBucketChallenge, then nominating others to do the same, all in an effort to raise ALS awareness. Those who refuse to take the challenge are asked to make a donation to the ALS charity of their choice.

So far the Ice Bucket Challenge has raised over 115 million dollar to help find a cure for ALS, aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease!  We hope we can add to the total.

Bake sale for Somalia

As we enjoy our summer barbecues, our office parties, and our fun family dinners, we should think to remember the people overseas who greatly need our help.

The EHG Fund has helped thousands of people in Africa and Asia by building schools and hospitals. Now we are focusing on helping the people of Somalia. The region is going through one of the most severe droughts in over 60 years and has led to one of the worst famines in recent history. Refugees are making their ways to camps in Kenya and other parts of Africa, their children arriving severely malnourished and under weight.  CNN’s Sanjay Gupta describes the misery in this heartbreaking article here.

An estimated 12.5 million people in the region are affected by the drought. The UN has declared a famine in five areas of southern Somalia, where 50% of children are acutely malnourished and four children out of every 10,000 are dying daily.

Yes, you read that correctly.  That’s 4 children dying daily of preventable causes.   We need to help them.

Somali refugees arriving in Kenyan camps for aid

Together with the EHG Fund, the DentalXChange team is hosting an in-office fundraiser next week.  Our idea is simple, we are hosting a bake sale and charging $2 per cupcake, with 100% of the proceeds going to the EHG Fund. We are going to bake red velvet cupcakes and other yummy treats and place them in the kitchen to raise money for the refugees. We will also be taking donations above and beyond the bake sale.

DentalXChange employees can also donate to the EHG Fund through payroll deductions and since all the proceeds in September will be sent to Somalia, we will be encouraging all employees to enroll.

How can you Help?

DentalXChange gives your practice the option to donate to the EHG Fund with each claim you send. You have the option of donating 1-5 cents per claim and DentalXChange will match 100% of your donation each month!

What else can you do to help? Host a bake sale in your offices like we are at DentalXChange! Offer cookies, cupcakes or other treats (my favorite red velvet recipe is this one here.) to your patients for a small donation.  All donations made to the EHG Fund Facebook causes will be directed towards Somalia.

We want to help right away and feel the best way for us to get started and to inspire our clients to do the same is to host a bake sale next Tuesday, August 23.  Will you please join us in hosting one in your office?

We know that no amount is too little to donate to the Somalian refugees. We hope that we generate some donations for those suffering from the drought and pray that relief will come soon.

For our Somalia Bakesale, we will be making Red Velvet Cupcakes

I hope this inspires you to do a bake sale of some sort in your office!

We’re asking offices to participate in a bake sale to help aid these refugees. Please make contributions to the EHG Fund Facebook causes HERE

We are hosting ours next Tuesday, August 23.  Will you participate?
